Surge Protection Devices
Generally, the more you pay for a surge
protector, the better your protection and better warranty if the device
doesn't stop a surge.
No surge
protector can protect against a direct lightning strike, but if your surge protector
has a good warranty, the manufacturer may pay for the replacement of the damaged
equipment.
Make sure you get a surge protection device that also protects your modem from surges in the phone line.
